Importance of Organic Cotton
We all want our children to be healthy. The two things essentially stick together if that is to happen. One is the food they eat and the clothes they wear. Second, the place where they stand should be safe. The second thing we often do not pay attention to. Our world is very polluted. We don't think about it.
 
But Covide-19 keeps us thinking. Our world is full of viruses. Air pollution is very high. We live in this world. We must protect our earth if our children are to be healthy tomorrow. We should reduce the use of such clothes as less polyester, nylon, or microfleece. These are capable of causing diseases that affect our skin. Such fabrics contain petrochemicals. 3.      Decided to use recycled materials

 From next February, it has been decided to use only GRS-certified recycled polyester in outerwear. Recycled polyester is made from recycled PED bottles, old clothes, and waste fabrics from new polyester fibers, yarn, and finally new fabrics. GRS is the Gold Standard certification for recycled materials, which includes strict controls on chemical use and tracking and working conditions.

Their suppliers meet the standards certified by SEDEX and BSCI organizations. Suppliers are required to fully comply with the HUXBABY Code of Conduct. Huxbaby is a considered, design-led brand. We create pieces with longevity in mind, and with the intention that they are shared and passed down. All of our fabrics are 100% unique to us as we design from the yarn - we determine the weave, weight, stitch, color, and design all our prints in-house for each Huxbaby piece.
We choose to incorporate circular design principles for extended product life, minimal waste, repair, and recyclability. One example of this is our reversible styles which are essentially 2 pieces in 1, making them functionally more sustainable garments.
6.      empowering women
Each season we collaborate with a social advocacy group located in rural India, which works to empower and upskill women in marginalized communities.
The NGO offers women in various remote village areas who have talent and skills an opportunity to educate and to gain financial independence. 

7.      healthy garments

Every season our garments are analyzed by an accredited third-party testing laboratory to meet the CPSIA standards.

8.  biodegradable packaging

Packaging plays an important role in protecting our product during transport and reducing product waste through damage. Traditional single-use plastics take hundreds of years to break down in landfills which result in plastic waste accumulating year after year.

We recognize that it has a major impact on our environment, and we are working hard to minimize this impact by removing, reducing and reusing packaging where possible. Beginning from AW21 (February 2021), we will be using biodegradable polybags to protect our clothing.
